“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” – Virginia Wolf
There was a point in Howie’s life where he had to count his potential shopping items just to make sure he had enough money to cover his grocery bill. Now that he can confidently eat out and keep his fridge stocked without worry, he is grateful. Whether indulging in authentic pizza and gelato in Italy or maxing out the room service order during business trips, the Danziks have a penchant for fine cuisine. They regularly frequent local sushi bars; Howie loves restaurants that display their menu items on rotating platforms, allowing diners to personalize meals by independently picking and choosing what to grab. At all-you-can-eat restaurants, the family loves piling plates sky high and finishing off their quests with delicious soft-serve ice cream. From dining at the finest of steak restaurants, to delighting in breakfast-in-bed room service, eating well is a family staple. Friends and associates know they will always be treated to a meal by Howie, who is famous for never allowing a guest to pick up the check.
“If you really want to make a friend, go to someone’s house and eat with him…the people who give you their food give you their heart.” – Cesar Chavez
Food brings everyone together. Although they thoroughly enjoy dining out, the Danzik family is no stranger to cooking at home cooking. They believe that family meals are meant to be cherished. So much so, that the Danziks made sure to include an outdoor dining room table that seats 22 people in the Manoan House where Theresa’s parents live in Hawaii. In his downtime, Howie finds joy in cooking as a hobby but he also uses his mega kitchen to host and judge cooking competitions. So far, the family has held 7 uniquely-themed food battles. The competition is always stiff, and the food divine, but most importantly, the time of fellowship is memorable. Seeking, preparing, and enjoying food will always be a fond element of the Danzik household.
